Repton School Repton School

Background & Challenges:

Founded in 1557, Repton School is one of Britain’s oldest independent schools, with some buildings dating back as far as the 6th Century. Famous author Roald Dahl was a pupil at Repton and wrote about his time there in his autobiography Boy and Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson was once expelled from the school. Repton required a complete overhaul of their existing online presence. The remit was for a contemporary website that still maintained the history and tradition of the school as well as offering a central point for information.

Solutions & Benefits:

Director of Marketing Cathy Twigg explains, "School Website worked closely to our brief and understood and interpreted our image and branding very well. Not only were we thrilled with the design but we found their advice on the functionality to be particularly helpful. The Content Management System is intuitive and easy to use on a daily basis."

The website holds a wealth of information, consisting of more than 100 pages. RSS feeds are created throughout so that users can subscribe to regularly updated content. In addition, there is a calendar whereby users can filter by category and subcategory, especially useful for the variety of extra-curricular activities on offer at Repton.
